SOCK IT TO ME CAKE

Sock it to Me Cake

1 package vanilla Cake mix 
1 cup (8 oz) dairy sour cream
1/3 cup oil 
1/4 cup sugar 
1/4 cup water 
4 eggs 

 Filling —
2 tablespooons reserved cake mix
2 teaspoon cinnamon 
2 tablespoon brown sugar 
1 cup finely chopped nuts. 

Preheat oven to 375. Combine filling ingredients & set aside. Blend cake mix, sour cream, oil, sugar, water & eggs. Beat at high speed 2 minutes. Pour 2/3 of batter in greased tube pan. Sprinkle filling ingredients on top. Spread remaining batter over mixture. Bake 45-55 mi. Cool 25 mi then remove from pan. Glaze — 1 cup conf. sugar & 2 tablespoon milk Drizzle over cake 


(Editor’s note: This recipe appears to come from a box of Duncan Hines Butter Recipe Golden Cake Mix, since the red-and-white version below is printed on thin cardboard. That version adds, “Makes 12 to 16 servings of delicious sour cream pound cake.
