JACK DANIELS SAUCE

• ½ Tbsp. chili pepper paste
• ½ Tbsp. onion powder
• 1 tsp. black pepper
• ½ cup Jack Daniels Whiskey
• 3 cups Jack Daniels BBQ Sauce (see sauce recipe below)

Directions:
Combine the spices and dry rub the meat real good. Pour
the whiskey into a crockpot and place pork on top of it. Pour the BBQ sauce over the meat and let marinated in fridge overnight covered with saran wrap. Place crockpot in cooker and cook on low heat for 6 hours. After 6 hours remove meat and pull apart, then place the pulled meat back into the crockpot to soak up the juices and cook for another 1 hr letting the meat soak up all of those juices. You can either drain the meat and add the additional cup of BBQ to the crock pot or scoop out the meat and add BBQ to it in a bowl. Serve on a bun with your favourite toppings (cheese, slaw, etc). Enjoy!

Jack Daniels BBQ Sauce recipe.

Ingredients:
• 2 Tbsp. unsalted butter
• 1 Tbsp. minced garlic (about 2-3 cloves)
• 2 cups ketchup
• 2 cups tomato sauce (or a good pasta sauce)
• ¾ cup molasses
• 1 cup Jack Daniels Whiskey
• 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
• 5 tsp. chili pepper paste (add more if you want it hotter)
• ½ cup brown sugar
• ½ cup white sugar
• 1 Tbsp. paprika
• 1 tsp. onion powder
• 1 tsp. chili powder
• 1 tsp. kosher salt
• 1 tsp. ground black pepper
• 1 tsp. garlic powder

Directions:
This makes about 6 cups of sauce, so in a large pot/pan
melt butter over medium heat and sauté minced garlic. Add other ingredients starting with the ketchup and working your way down the list. Combine ingredients well, mixing until brought to a boil. Reduce temperature to low and let it simmer for 1 hour, stirring every so often.
