WARM CRANBERRY BRIE with PECANS


Warm Cranberry Brie With Pecans

1/4 cup pecans, chopped
1 (16 oz) Brie round
1 (16 oz ) can whole cranberries
1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
2 tablespoons spiced rum (orange juice may be substituted)
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
assorted apple slices, crackers, pear slices


Warm Cranberry Brie With Pecans
Preheat oven to 350F. Bake pecans in a single layer on a sheet for 5 minutes until toasted.

Trim rind from top of Brie leaving a a 1/3 inch border at the top. Place Brie on a baking sheet. Stir together the cranberry sauce, brown sugar, spiced run(or orange juice) and nutmeg. Spread mixture evenly over top of Brie round.

Bake Brie for 5 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with chopped toasted pecans.

Serve wth the assortment of sliced apples and pears and your favorite crackers.
