SMOKED PAPRIKA RUB

Smoked Paprika Rub

Smoked Paprika is one of those spices everyone should have on hand. It's smoky flavour is perfect for grilling. I had to develop a rub dedicated to this amazing spice. This rub can be used on just about anything. I use it on chicken and beef dishes, but it would be amazing sprinkled on seafood as well.

Total Time 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons sea salt
  • 2 tablespoons smoked paprika start with less your first time and adjust to your taste!
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder or salt
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder or salt

Instructions

  1. In a bowl combine all the spices and mix well.
  2. Transfer to a spice jar, or mason jar, and store in a cool, dry, dark space until needed.
  3. When using coat your meat first with some oil. Then sprinkle the rub over top and rub it into the meat. Make sure it gets everywhere.
  4. Cover the meat and pop in the fridge for a couple of hours, or overnight if you want a really intense smoky flavour.
  5. Make sure you take the meat out of the fridge about 30 minutes before grilling. Do not grill cold meat.

Recipe Notes

Start with less and work your way up. We really like smoked paprika but your taste buds might only like a little of it. So start small and work your way to the perfect amount for you and
