HALUSKI

Haluski

Ingredients:
1 head green cabbage, sliced
8 ounces egg noodles
2 large onions, sliced
1 pound bacon, diced
salt and pepper, to taste
garlic powder, to taste
2 medium potatoes, shredded
3 teaspoons water

Directions:
In large skillet, add bacon, cook until crisp. Remove bacon and drain on paper towel lined dish, then transfer to a bowl, set aside. 

Add onions to the skillet, season with salt, pepper and garlic powder, stir, cook until onions are golden. Add potatoes, season with salt, pepper and garlic powder, stir, cook about 8 minutes. Add cabbage, water, salt, pepper and garlic powder, stir, cover, cook until cabbage almost tender, about 8 to 10 minutes. 

While the cabbage cooks, add noodles to boiling water. Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain.

Add noodles and bacon to the skillet with cabbage, season with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Toss well. Enjoy!

Note: Make sure your potatoes are dry before you add them to the skillet.
