FRENCH TOAST BREAKFAST CASSEROLE

French Toast Breakfast Casserole Recipe:
[private]Ingredients:
1 loaf French bread
6 whole eggs
2 cups half and half
¾ cup sugar
¾ teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
Cinnamon sugar
Powdered Sugar
Fresh Raspberries
Method:
1. Slice French bread about ¾ inch thick. Arrange in a greased 8 X 8 pan
2. In a bowl combine sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add the eggs and mix until well incorporated
3. Add the half and half and mix until well incorporated
4. Pour mixture over the bread arranged in the pan and refrigerate for 30 minutes allowing the mixture to soak into the bread
5. Bake at 400 degrees for 35-40 minutes until the casserole is well set and a knife inserted comes out clean. Let stand for 7 minutes
6. Sprinkle the top with cinnamon sugar, powdered sugar and raspberries and serve. Can also be served plated with caramel sauce[/private]
